Eric Keith Rottenberg is a Creative Producer and Photographer based in San Francisco, California.

Domestic and international photography documenting people authentically. I strive to make a connection with my subjects in order to draw out honest, meaningful expressions of themselves. In my youth, I realized that people have “signature looks.” This is my term for facial expressions that transcend language and cultural divides and encapsulates our very individuality. We have all seen some of our closest friends and family respond to something or make a point that is emphasized with a characteristic facial expression. Maybe one eye squints smaller then then other during an honest smile, or someone scrunches up their nose in a way that is unique to only them.

I believe that all of us carry these personal expressions from the cradle to the cane. Some people have made a career out of their signature looks. Take Jack Nicholson and his wonderfully arched eyebrows for example. Many people tend to be more selective of the moments when they open up to reveal their true selves, especially when someone you just met is holding up a camera. It is my passion as a photographer to seek out these often split-second moments and document them.

Over the past twenty years I’ve traveled extensively throughout Southeast Asia, into the Caribbean, East Africa, Europe, the Middle East, and Latin America. The images in this site comprise positions of my worldwide travels and domestic corporate portraiture.
